This technique is narrower but more direct than the Comprehensive Goal Achievement Process (CGAP), which is described in Reintegration books "Coherence" and "Inner Peace, Outer Success." It focuses solely on the goal, erases obstacles and moves all desired outcomes straight to the Heart, by doing the Dissolving the Temporary I Plus (DTI+) technique. We will name this process the Determination Technique (DT).
However, if you are doing it without having previously reintegrated the needed parts of your personality, there is a chance you will activate some of your dormant negative framework beliefs or other unresolved subconscious structures (you can find more on this subject in our free ebook "Deep Personal Transformation"). You may still achieve the goal, but with those other problems activated in your life, your overall level of happiness may not increase at all. We highly recommend completing at least several DTI+ processes on your goal, as they are quick, and, if possible, defining your main goals and mutually harmonizing them, before attempting the DT. That way you will have the best results.
The DT starts by assuming that you have not done any CGAP process before.
Essentially, this technique gathers all negative perceptions (beliefs, rules, fears, emotions, etc.) related to the goal and removes them through repetitive DTI+ procedures.
They are our greatest obstacles to the achievement of the goal. We get the negative perceptions by asking ourselves two questions: “Could I fail?” and “Is there any reason why succeeding could be bad?”
During the DTI+ procedure (that you should repeat five times each time) you first remove a negative perception, then through the MH part you install an opposite, positive perception (belief, rule, decision, emotion, etc.) that you need to formulate properly, immediately after getting the negative perception.
When you eliminate negative perceptions and install their “antidotes” in these two circles, you then continue to the last step of installing the positive statement: “I am absolutely and completely determined to achieve this goal,” through the Moving to the Heart (MH) procedure.
Then, you repeat the whole cycle until you cleanse yourself from all negative perceptions related to the goal, while subsequently installing the opposite, positive mind content that pulls you directly toward the goal.
Here is the DT procedure:
1) Determine the goal clearly (optional: develop a full Detailed Target State - as described in "Coherence").
2) Determine at least two higher purposes for or benefits to your goal.
3) Ask yourself: Could I fail?
1. If you feel or think that the answer is “no,” you are definitely ready to achieve your goal; this process is complete.
2. If you feel or think that the answer is “yes,” ask yourself, “why?” The answer to this question is essentially your defeating perception (belief, assumption, rule, fear, or other negative notion). Formulate it. Proceed to step 4.
4) Ask yourself: Am I sure that this (defeating) perception is true?
1. If “no,” do the DTI+ on it five times, with the MH part consisting of an opposite, positive perception. Proceed to step 5.
2. If “yes,” do the DTI+ on it, with the MH statement: “I am determined to achieve my goal because I want to … (state the higher purposes)”; then repeat step 4.
5) Ask yourself: Is there any reason why it would not be good to succeed?
1. If “no,” proceed to step 7.
2. If “yes,” ask yourself what exactly that reason is. The answer to this question is essentially your limiting perception. Formulate it. Proceed to step 6.
6) Ask yourself: Am I sure that this (limiting) perception is true?
1. If “no,” do the DTI+ on it five times, with the MH part consisting of an opposite, positive perception. Proceed to step 7.
2. If “yes,” do the DTI+ on it, with the MH statement: “I am determined to achieve my goal because I want to … (state the higher purposes)”; then repeat step 6.
7) Do the MH procedure 5 times with this statement: “I am absolutely and completely determined to achieve this goal.” Optionally, to this statement you can add: “…because I want to (state the higher purposes).” This would strengthen your process, while slowing it down significantly. When you have done the MH procedure 5 times, go back to step 3 again.
The process is complete when you are absolutely sure that you will achieve your goal.
Do not forget to write down everything you can. For that purpose, you can use the printed DT Worksheet downloadable at this web-address.
A scheme called “DT Algorithm,” that can lead you through the process, suitable for printing, you can download at this address. For the beginning, it is best to look at the algorithm and to strictly follow the steps shown in it, until you master the technique.
You will need to apply this procedure for the specific goal at least several times, with a few days between each process. This is because, each time, some new inner obstacle will probably be revealed and removed. Eventually, though, you will certainly achieve your goal.
