Change, like healing, takes time. ― Veronica Roth, Allegiant
This aspect of healing relies more on the relationship between cause and effect. Any disharmony in our psyche, or conflict between parts of our personality, may effectually cause a disease.
The reintegration of general aspects, breaking bad habits, letting go of limiting beliefs, decisions, rules, emotions, traumatic memories, fears, desires and traits, meditation with pacing—can help prevent diseases and keep your health in great shape. Of course, regular physical activity, healthy nutrition and lifestyle are of great importance to one’s health as well.
With the Reintegration techniques, you will be able to heal yourself (and others, through yourself), although this approach to the healing work is more for intellectual-type people. Nonetheless, it can bring about great results, just as Prayer, Love or Presence can.
When it comes to healing others through these techniques, it is very advisable that you not apply them directly on the ill person, but rather find a corresponding part of your own personality and do the technique on it.
First, you have the basic techniques (DTI and DTI+) at your disposal. If you need to find the cause of the disease as soon as possible because of pain, you could try to find the ill organ or part of your body by applying the manual muscle testing (MMT).
In order to simplify things, make a few assumptions as to which organ or body part is the source of the illness. Usually it’s the one which is most painful. Check it with the MMT. Use the statement “This part/organ is healthy.” Go over a few body parts and determine which ones are ill. Do the DTI+ on that body part and the unpleasant feeling of it first, with the MH phrase “I feel that this body part (state its name/location) is healthy.”
Then, do the DTI+ on the general symptoms of the disease and the overall unpleasant feeling or pain, with the MH phrase “I feel relieved, comfortable and completely healthy.” You could use a different statement if it’s more suitable for you, just be aware of formulating the announcement positively, without mentioning the pain or illness (if possible). It should also be expressed in the present tense. If you can’t find an appropriate statement without using the words related to pain or disease, use formulations like “I am completely free of pain (or disease) and I feel relieved and comfortable.”
Go over all negative beliefs, rules, traumatic memories, fears, guilt feelings, etc., and try to determine what could be the concrete inner cause of that illness. Create a list of possible “candidates.” Then, go over each personality element from that list and check it with the MMT. While doing the MMT, state: “This personality element (state its name) is the cause of my illness (state the name of the illness).” If that statement shows as true, then you have the cause, but make sure you check all the possible elements, because some diseases have multiple inner sources.
At least do the DTI+ on these problematic elements. We say ‘at least’, because you have much more powerful tools at hand. These are the Inner Triangle (or its alternative version), Simplified Inner Triangle, Single Chain or Double Chain. As you know, the most comprehensive and often most effective technique is the Inner Triangle. Sometimes the cause could even be some positive element of personality which you don’t want to dissolve or change a lot. In that case, you could also use the Convergence Procedure with the positive element as one polarity and the goal “I am perfectly healthy,” as the other polarity.
When it comes to mere pain relief, we have to do the Dissolving the Temporary I (DTI) technique on the pain directly. First, we mentally give a concrete location and shape to the pain as it is a living entity. It is advisable to attribute as many features as possible to it and to observe it from the outside for a couple seconds. Then enter it. Feel it “from the inside.” Find the Temporary I from which vantage point you are experiencing the pain entity. Do the DTI. Repeat the procedure as long as you feel the pain. You will probably notice that the position of your Temporary I changes as you are repeating the DTI procedure.
